Corsodyl Hurts My Teeth

Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. E Tiger I Late Version Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger tank Command

"The noise of the Tiger, by its own engine and its tracks, it was something that we froze the blood in his veins. When we knew that in our area there were measures of this type we just thought was already dead. One of us said that if you shot a frame without killing you, you were only three seconds to jump out of your car before the arrival of the second bullet ... in fact, many employees the German tank drivers to recharge their piece ". (A British tank crewman)
On 26 May 1941, during the meeting on the development of new weapons, Adolf Hitler ordered that both the Dr.Porsche Henschel to supply their designs for a heavy tank, which had to be ready in the summer of 1942 . Krupp, however, was responsible for providing the main armament and turrets for the production of designs is that of Henschel's Porsche.
The development of the Tiger Henschel was based on previous patterns of VK 3001 (H) and VK 3601 (H), while the Tiger developed by Porsche's plan was based on the previous VK 3001 (P) Leopard. The new 45-ton panzer was to be armed with a 88 mm L/56 KwK.
Both media, both the Henschel prototype is to Porsche, they arrived at a station near Rastenburg (Ketrzyn) April 19, 1942 and then traveled 11 km to Rastenburg. On April 20, 1942 at 11:00 am, is the prototype Porsche Henschel that were presented to Adolf Hitler (his birthday) to Wolfschanze, East Prussia. In July 1942, both were tested at school tank in Berka, Germany. During the tests, the Tiger Porsche VK 4501 (P) was a failure, while the Tiger Henschel's VK 4501 (H) was a great success. In July 1942, the Henschel Tiger - VK 4501 (H) was approved and went into production.
The new vehicle was equipped with a welded hull, featuring perfectly squared lines with armor which reached a thickness of 102 mm and represented, along with the owner, the strength of the Tiger: The German tank was in fact made before the German engineers and builders to learn the lesson of the Russian T-34 where the protective plates, considerably tilted, conferred the capacity to resist virtually identical to while those of German tanks with a thicker armor but consists of vertical plates. The turret, as the hull, was heavily armored, with 110 mm steel on scudatura, and had the characteristic horseshoe-shaped plant, and his swing is obtained through an electromechanical system, it was very slow because of weight and was one of the major defects of the Tiger. The main armament, as already mentioned, was formed by anti-tank gun KwK 36 by 88 mm (56-gauge), which was installed in the tower and protected by a heavy steel scudatura 110 mm thick, was able to penetrate any U.S. car or UK to over 1500 m, while the heavy tanks Soviet-type JS-2 proved to be ineffective, with possible penetration on the front only within 300 m. In the tower was also installed a machine gun MG34 7.92 mm coaxial gun that was operated by the pointer via a pedal, while another MG34 was positioned right in the front wall of the hull. The suspensions were torsion bar, and to decrease the pressure on the land of the wagon, were taken 725 mm wide tracks, which could be replaced by a 520 mm track closer to the rail transport of Tiger. Its powerful engine requires constant maintenance (every 3 hours the car was on for about 20 minutes) and especially a lot of fuel (the tank was 540 liters sufficiente per soli 195 km su strada, molto meno in condizioni di terreno accidentato), che l'esercito tedesco non fu più in grado di fornire nelle ultime fasi del conflitto.
E' importante decidere subito quale versione realizzare onde evitare sbagli seguendo le istruzioni, io ho realizzato la versione cart-mounted control box with virtually the sole addition of crawlers Friul Model ATL-06. To achieve
Zimmerit may be used at different houses that produce aftermarket or printed in photogravure Zimmerit (Tamiya type), as I've always preferred the good old way home by spreading a thin sheet of stucco two-component Milliput then I went to affect a very small flat screwdriver, more particularly for the uninitiated is that the plot of Zimmerit Zimmerit is different from the turret in the hull.
As for the mounting of photogravures must say that damage to the model that little bit more but not all are easy to assemble, and I will have left many of the pieces in my bank.
The camouflage of a Late Tiger is only three tones, you can find different profiles on the Internet, I have laid a base of 94 and then with Humbrol Humbrol Humbrol 160 and 105 I have reproduced the data to airbrush camouflage.
After several washes with oil Bruno Van Dyck are passed to the pure pigments spread out on the vehicle using the Mig Dark and Dry Mud Mud for contrast but to make the model consistent with the board that I created. This is the final

II with Porsche turret

In January 1943, just months after the entry into service of the Tiger I, the German Army issued the request for a new heavy tank with a turret capable of accommodating the powerful 88 mm gun long 71.2 calibers. The design contract was given to the two best research divisions then available: the Porsche and Henschel, Henschel and was the model to be successful given the characteristics of reliability and ease of production from this project was born on Tiger II or King Tiger. The production of the Tiger II was launched in Kassel in December 1943 alongside that of Tiger. The first 50 production vehicles were completed with the Porsche turret, all the wagons then mounted the Henschel turret, and were built in total 485.
To make this model I used the Tamiya kit 35169 which I believe is certainly not the best on the market, let's all there is much work to do to make a decent model.
The first thing you notice is missing the Zimmerit; photogravures on the market can be found to solve the problem but I preferred the sound and the old stucco Milliput white as a sheet which should be spread over the parties and then goes recorded with a small screwdriver cut, the texture will be illegal in some places but I think we earned the realism.
Another flaw of the kit is the lack of grid engine and here too can be remedied or fotoincisi with a set of dedicated or tulle, I opted for the cheap tulle ^ _ ^
The cane is a reference Jordi Rubio, I have opted for the TG-06 version that was equipped with Late of the medium while for those who want to play the early version is the TG-14.
Finally, the last improvement is that the tracks were replaced with those produced by FriulModel; I mistakenly installed the ATL-22 believing that the series Porsche mount only these being the first production models while after reading this discussione sul forum di Zimmerit ho scoperto l'errore. In pratica volendo eralizzare una versione Late ho montao i cingoli di un Early mentre avrei dovuto montare gli ATL-37 che invece sono adatti ad un Late.
Beh casini a parte questo è ciò che ne è uscito:

Il carro è stato colorato in dunkelgelb usando l'Humbrol 83 per riprodurre un carro operante in Normandia nel '44; i danni alla zimmerit sono stati riprodotti col rosso-minio mentre con una mistura di stucco a base acquosa, vinavil e sassolini d'acquario per pesci rossi ho riprodotto Mud on the tracks and across the lower half of which I then colored with various shades of brown and finished with MIG pigments old mud. Finally, after a series of washes with oil paint diluted with petrol zippo I played the scrapings of a pencil with silver bought in a shop of fine arts.

What To Say To My Daughter In Her Third Birthday

Show Model AMB Brescia

Sunday 24 we participated in the XVI National Exhibition of static modeling AMB held at the Center for Documentary Military Brescia.
The first thing that struck us was the high number of models (about 1400 divided into several categories) as well as the high quality of models on display, the competition among the most anticipated of the year, attended by several clubs including the Red Devils in Thiene, S. Giusto Trieste, 4 Sails of Padua, Turin Phoenix, Drive Fly and of Modena, AMSL Lonigo and many others.
The day was "gladdened" by a large number of trade stands and an award ceremony (approximately 90 minutes ending ^ _ ^) held in the beautiful Barracks Officers Club of Gori.

And here are the pictures of the exhibition:

tuti for photos of models who participated in the competition please refer to the links to the friends of 'AMB Brescia .

Buon modellismo a tutti
