Finanziato il secondo asilo nido comunale chiavi in mano costerà 941mila euro. Il progetto promosso dall’Amministrazione Comunale guidata dal Sindaco Iannazzo prevede il recupero dell’ex struttura di contrada Punzonotto che sorge a pochi metri dalla palestra comunale intitolata a Pio La Torre. Lo scheletro in cemento armato che risale agli anni 80’non è stato mai completato.. L’immobile avrebbe dovuto ospitare la scuola materna ma, a causa di un inadempimento contrattuale, non fu mai completato rimanendo per anni abbandonato all’incuria. Il nuovo progetto è stato redatto dall’Ufficio Tecnico del Comune su input dell’amministrazione guidata da Nino Iannazzo e prevede il recupero strutturale del manufatto, il completamento delle tramezzature e degli interni per quello che sarà il secondo asilo nido comunale. L’altro è già in fase di costruzione in contrada Caputo. La nuova struttura per l’infanzia sarà capace di ospitare, tre sezioni di scuola , per quarantadue bambini da zero a tre anni.
